PROS AND CONS OF COLONISING OTHER PLANETS!

The idea of settling on a planet other than the Earth is really fascinating. Can other planets replace Earth as our home? Can they provide the necessary conditions for our living as Earth can? Earth is capable of life because of the good distance from the sun which gives Earth a favourable temperature and other tolerable conditions for humans.

The idea of settling on another planet was unimaginable previously but with advancement in technology, research, space exploration, now we can think about this.
And when I think about this even more deeply, the thought that terrifies me is that there is a good chance of other intelligent lives existing there already... As Earth is perfectly designed for humans or humans adapted according to earth, Earth have always shielded humans from external threats, provided a perfect habitat for every species, the interdependence of one species to the other for food and their needs, availability of adequate amount of resources to fullfil a huge demand, presence of atmosphere and Earths own magnetic field and many more things makes it a proper place for humans and other species for survival.

These all things are impossible to be found in any other planets or very hard to develop artificially in any other planets. Moreover these planets lack a lot of things that are required for human or any other species survival. Colonising these planets is very hard but not impossible. Using current technologies and future innovations, we can make other planets habitable for humans.

Colonising other planets will result in many advantages as well as disadvantages.
Firstly if we talk about advantages, then we will have another planet rather than earth where humans can be found.
In other planets, asteroids and moons, we can find some rare resources that can be very useful for humans and if we colonize there, than extracting those resources will be easier for us.
Humans will have a right on these planets and there will be no fear of suffering and extinction for human species.

As humans will look forward towards colonisation on other planets, there will be more space exploration which will lead towards the exploration of new things in the space. New galaxies, stars, life on other planets, different resources, energies and many more. By colonisation, we can explore these things to a very distance where earlier it was not possible.
There will be advancement in the technologies so that we can always stay connected to the humans in another planet and always be ready for any situation for the humans there. Technologies which are too advance and can bear the climatic change will be established and new researches will take place.
Terraforming could bring new possibilities to solving the problems that arise with evergrowing population.
We can also take advantage of the planets nature and can do many work that we are unable to do in Earth.

Now after watching the advantages, let's talk about some of the disadvantages.
Colonisation to planets require a lot of new technologies, which require a lot of finance. This makes the colonisation more expensive and slow. It also requires a lot of usage of resources and sometimes also transfer of resources to other planets so that it can be used there which can create shortage of resources on Earth.
As this is too risky, not everyone is ready to take first step. It is hard to find and train people who are ready for this project. It is very hard to find the people who are ready and have a great will power for this project as it requires a strong body and mind connection to tackle different situations and conditions.
As we do not know what surprises outer universe can give to us, we can also find the presence of another species or aliens which already have their huge colonisation over the planet. They may be much more advanced than us or more powerful than us... Nobody knows, but entering in their region will be seemed as attack on them and they can also attack on us.
Colonisation of humans on another planet can also lead to space wars. They can develop more powerful and advance weapons than the humans on Earth and can attack on us. This can be said because humans always have a feeling of being superior than others.
Once they become comfortable there, they can also cut off the communication from the Earth or they can ask for liberty as they do not want to be controlled by the people on Earth which will lead to difference in the culture and understanding between the humans of different planets. They will disobey the rules and make their own rules, consider themselves as different and independent species. This will lead to a huge conflict between the planets.
In initial stage, humans will not be able to adapt according to the climatic conditions or ecosystem which can cause a huge loss in life.
We lack understanding on how long periods of exposure to a radically different conditions than the ones we have on Earth would have on the human body. We are talking years or decades on Mars.

As we can see, colonising to another planet is an awesome idea but it has its own disadvantages and some severe impacts which cannot be neglected because everything comes with its own pros and cons and the choice is ours.
