It is not the first time that anyone has tried to be vegan. People from a long time are trying to switch from omnivorous to pure vegetarian. There are evidences from 2000 years ago about the peoples choosing to avoid animal products and food and switching towards vegan food and vegan lifestyle.
At that time, it was common and easy for people following a vegetable diet, to consume dairy products. As early as 500 BCE, Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras promoted benevolence among all species and followed what could be described as a vegetarian diet. Around the same time, Siddhārtha Gautama (better known as the Buddha) was discussing vegetarian diets with his followers.Fast forward to 1806 CE and the earliest concepts of veganism are just starting to take shape, with Dr William Lambe and Percy Bysshe Shelley amongst the first Europeans to publicly object to eggs and dairy on ethical grounds.
As being vegetarian sounds something cool and different and at the same time also a healthy practice towards environment, animals, there established a vegan society 75 years ago encouraging many people to go vegan for environment and themselves for a healthier, beautiful and long life.
By then many people followed this and started to go vegan. The number of vegetarian peoples all across the globe started to increase drastically encouraging many other peoples and their future generations to go vegan for a healthier practice.
And this number is still increasing every year showing the curiosity and enthusiasm of peoples about going vegan. Many campaign can also be seen telling about the benefits of going vegan.
•Let's imagine, what if we in the year 2100 and from past, number of people becoming vegetarian was so fast and effective that now 70 percent of the world's population has decided to be vegan. They are turning towards the food and products that does not came from killing animals.
•Now there have been started intense protests around the world against the food that comes from animals and started demanding for abolishment of that food. Many people are eagerly joining this protest and rejecting the non-veg food in a great pace.
•As the protest now is becoming bigger and stronger and many more normal peoples and many powerful peoples also started joining this protest, it doesn't seems to end or can be controlled without any final decision. So as the international government cannot stand the protest, it decides to listen and implement a new law. The law which is in favour of the protestors.
•Now as the has been passed and everyone has to follow this new government law, which forces people to be vegan, everyone goes vegan.
•After that, there will be huge changes around us. Everything suddenly starts changing and seems different as every meat shop will be closed, all companies that are dedicated to producing meat would be completely bankrupt. There will be a huge and sudden breakdown for these industries.
•People who love to eat non-veg food will be very pissed off by this new law, they will no longer be able to eat meat. Even everybody is switching towards going vegan but still there will be a large number of people who are still dependent on meat.
Due to breakdown and bankruptcy of the industries and closing of different businesses dependent on meat, there will be a huge unemployment. The meat industry is responsible for 5.4 million jobs and $257 billion in wages.
•The peoples who were not benefited or broke by this law will start to oppose everything. All the people who are unemployed or who do not want to have a vegan diet would take to the streets to protest. The restaurants those were fully dependent on meat or had a huge public for their meat products like McDonald's, burger King, Kentucky etc. would be completely extinct.
•Due to no availability of meat, people who were dependent on meat or meat was compulsory in their diet will start getting sleeping troubles due to changes in diet in short term.
•People who are used to eating meat will go through a lot of stress due to the changes in their diet.
•As peoples are used to eat meat and it will be a lot harder for them to suddenly stop eating it completely, there will be an illegal market for the meat.
It would be the same as with drugs now, there would be people people willing to pay a lot of money to be able to eat meat.
•As vegetarian food have complete nutrients, still there are a few key nutrients that are not found as readily in plants as they are in animal products which will lead to lack of vitamins and minerals in the body.
•Due to this sudden change, animal will be left free which is good but not for all animals cause not all animals could simply go free. Some breeds of farms could not survive in the wild which may lead to extinction of that species.
Apart from these problems, there will be much more good changes that will take place. Let's talk about them.
•Eventually people will start to get used to being vegan. Since even if you can't eat meat there are many other things. And this will improve their health.
•Around 15 percent of all greenhouse gases emitted by humans are from livestock production. Due to this law, there will be a good impact on environment due to less emittion of gases.
•There will be a huge decline in cutting of trees. As these meat industry require a lot of land to feed and maintain livestock. Due to the law and people turning vegetarian, would free up that land which can be used to grow trees or for agricultural purpose.
•You will feel more energetic and light as it comes from the lightness you feel after no longer consuming foods that aren't digested correctly by our intestines.
•The peoples who lost their jobs or were broke during this moment, soon they will get many alternative employment options as many new jobs would emerge to produce more vegan food.
•There will be less water consumption as it takes 15000 litres to make a kilogram of beef, 6000 litres for pork and 4000 litres for chicken. This huge consumption of water will stop and may be water crises will also be decreased.
•New vegan fast food franchises will emerge and will become extremely famous.
•Non veg people will start getting a feel of better focus. This can be attributed to the clearing of cholesterol in your arteries that are connected to your brain.
•The lifestyle of people will become cheaper. A new study has revealed that vegan meals are actually 40 percent cheaper than meat and fish counterparts.
•Peoples skin begins to clear up due to the absence of oily and fatty animal products that cause acne to thrive.
•Many animals will no longer be tortured by humans mass produced. So there will be happy animals.
•There will be average weight loss. This comes from the massive switch in the caloric- density of foods you eat.
•Improved Athletic performance. More and more athletes follow vegan or vegetarian diets for optimal athletic performance.
•Farmers will not force animals for reproduction as the demand of meat will decline.
•There will be lower rates of diabetes patients. Vegan and vegetarian diets are associated to lower rates of Type 2 diabetes.
•There will be lower cancer rates.
Researches found that overall cancer incidence was 11% lower in vegetarians and 19% lower in vegans.
•Counteract climate change because there is now much less deforestation and emissions. Climate change would be less severe.
•There will be less starvation. Today more than 40% of all cultivated grains goes to animals. All this food would be given to hungry humans.
•There will be longer life expectancy. A team of researchers has shown vegetarian men live for an average of 10 years longer than non-vegetarian men.
After studying this, do you have more desire to be vegan?
