FOMO is a real fear!

FOMO is an acronym for the "Fear Of Missing Out". You may be wondering, what is this actual feeling? Let me remind you the situation when you were blissfully happy doing your work and suddenly a massive wave of FOMO hits you, and you start feeling inadequate.

Also sometimes, the moment where you sit in a complete and terribly uncomfortable silence as everyone around the table has their head down and texting, because everyone thinks that they are missing out something. It has now been instilled in the human behaviour that you're always thinking that you're missing out on the nice car he or she has , you're missing out on the nice looks he or she has.
Actually the fact is that, when you keep focusing on others, then you constantly deal with this FOMO emotion. While feeling this, sometimes you even criticise yourself for the way you are living your life.

 FOMO prevents us from enjoying the present situation and miss the situation we are not in but have a desire to be in. FOMO keeps us away from connecting with people. Also not only it disconnects from the people in our present but also make ourself curse sometimes for making wrong decisions.

Why FOMO has made a great part of our life? The main cause behind this is that social media today has made everybody's private life public. This is the reason, you keep looking on an individual miles away from you and keep ridiculously comparing your life with them, the differences in the lives even you don't know that it's real or fake.
That is  indeed one of the worst fear someone can have, because in this whole process you stop being grateful for the things you already have.
One need to surely overcome with this 'fear' to live life with satisfaction. From all the effects of this fear, you know that life can really become miserable living with this constant fear of missing out. 
What are the ways to deal with it? Unless we stop focusing on others, it is impossible to overcome this. You can only deal with FOMO mentality, when you shift your focus from others to yourself. When you will start focusing on yourself, your self development, then you will start deviating from being the victim of FEAR OF MISSING OUT.
