WHAT IS DYSLEXIA?

Dyslexia is a rare condition which creates problems in reading, writing and spelling words. This is a brain-based problem and is not a vision fault. Dyslexia involves the ways that the brain processes graphic symbols and the sounds of words. It is the inability to understand and failing to work with a language. The most important thing to know about this disorder is not to link this with intelligence, result of poor teaching instruction or upbringing even people having dyslexia are smart as other normal people.

What do letters seem to dyslexic person? It may sound you weird, but the letters seem to be as they are dancing, jumping here and there, running around. And the dyslexic person's mind trying so hard to stop them, settle them and read them. What may be the other problems of a dyslexic person? With dyslexia affecting areas of the brain that deal with direction, language and processing information, dyslexics can often struggle with following dance routines, turning and remembering sequences and steps.

What are the ways in which we can can identify that a person has dyslexia? Or What are the signs of a person having dyslexia? Even when the child hasn't started reading, the signs of dyslexia can be spotted when present.
The signs of dyslexia at this stage is the wrong pronounciation of the words and having trouble singing the letters of the alphabets, which is a easy task done by the children of this age group.
As this child grows, the signs of dyslexia becomes more noticeable. It includes, having trouble in learning letter names and the sound we have characterised for different letters, the confusion arises between letters that look similar (like b & d). The signs of dyslexia become a little different for an adult including reading slowly, leaving out small words while reading something and even parts of long words when reading aloud, struggling to remember common abbreviations.

Is dyslexia genetic? Is this condition permanent? Dyslexia can be due to two reasons, one is hereditary and is called as Developmental dyslexia. This is the Dyslexia which is neurological condition that is genetic in origin and have a genetic component behind it. According to studies, 60% -80% of dyslexia candidates that were tested had family connection.
It was found that roughly that 49% of parents of kids with dyslexia may have it and 40% of siblings of children with dyslexia might have the same dyslexic reading issues. On the other hand for some cases of Dyslexia, the reason is an accident or injury due to which a person acquired the characteristics which are classified under the traits of dyslexia and this is termed as Acquired dyslexia.

These things seem so silly to a normal person. People think that what is the big deal in just reading and writing some letters? But for a person suffering from this, focusing becomes a problematic task. A problematic task...you may ask why? Because reading and writing is the core basic for everything we start. For a kid starting with learning alphabets, this condition start becoming traumatising. Making people understand this inability, really becomes a challenging task for a dyslexic person. The solution of this is bringing a way for the dyslexics to learn in a better way, so they do not get excluded from the non-dyslexics and this is a much needed change!

"It feels like the letters are running,
Dancing, jumping like they are cunning!

Everything messes in my brain,
No matter how much I make myself trained.

It is exhausting and traumatising,
Making my future dull instead of shining!

Excluding me from others,
And that is when my dream shatters.

Tried to give explanation to alot of people,
If they understand this, my life will become sorted and simple!"
